VIth Iberian Cosmology Meeting
IBERICOS 2011
Salamanca, April 18th-20th, 2011

In the program page you can download the presentations.

The VIth Iberian Cosmology Meeting will take place at the Historical Building , of the University of Salamanca, starting on the afternoon of Monday, April 18th and ending at noon on Wednesday the 20th. The important dates of the event can be found here. The main purpose of this meeting is to bring together Cosmologists, Astronomers, Particle and Theoretical Physicists from Portugal and Spain to discuss problems of interests in the broad field of "Cosmology". Since it is expected that the first results from PLANCK will appear during 2011, we would like to use this opportunity to discuss the scientific explotation of PLANCK data.

This is the 6th conference on this series that have been alternating between Portugal (Porto-Lisbon-Porto) and Spain (Bilbao-Madrid). In this occasion, we welcome you to the University of Salamanca, the oldest in Spain.

These conferences are characterized for being informal, oriented at discussing problems more than to present final results, with a clear purpose of fostering collaboration between groups of both countries. A final program will be elaborated with the contributions of all participants.

The conference mantains a rather informal tone and there will be no conference fee. Concerning accomodation, you must make your own arrangements. A partial list of hotels close to the conference venues is given here. Prizes are tentative. You must check with the hotel.

Right after the conference, Salamanca will be celebrating Estern Week, with many festivities and processions of great interest [See "Asterix in Hispania" for one of the earliest references]. I hope you can take this oppotunity to enjoy Salamanca and Castilla y Leon. For practical information, check our information page.

Looking forward to seeing you in Salamanca.
